What the board approved
On 16 October 2026, the board of Bajaj Housing Finance Limited (BHFL) approved its unaudited financial results for the quarter and half year ended 30 September 2026, prepared under Ind AS. The joint statutory auditors, Singhi & Co. and Mukund M. Chitale & Co., issued a limited review report with an unmodified opinion. Alongside the results, the company filed a press release, a security-cover certificate for its non-convertible debentures, Regulation 52 debenture disclosures, a CFO certificate on the use of commercial-paper proceeds, and a statement of related-party transactions.
Growth and asset quality
BHFL said its assets under management crossed the ₹1.5 lakh crore mark during the quarter, a milestone it flagged in its press release. Growth was broad across the loan book, with disbursements, loan assets and net interest income all higher than a year earlier. Asset quality held steady, and the company reported a capital adequacy ratio well above the 15% regulatory minimum. BHFL noted it carries the highest long-term credit rating of AAA/Stable from CRISIL and India Ratings.
Funding and leverage
BHFL is a non-deposit-taking housing finance company and a subsidiary of Bajaj Finance Limited, classified as an Upper Layer NBFC under the RBI's Scale Based Regulations. The filing shows it continued to fund growth through debt securities and other borrowings, with its debt-equity ratio rising over the year, per the Regulation 52(4) disclosure. During the quarter the company raised debt through privately placed non-convertible debentures, the proceeds of which it confirmed were deployed on its own balance sheet. It also reported it maintained the required security cover on its listed NCDs.
