What was filed
Bharat Forge told the exchanges that its Investment Committee – Strategic Business approved the issuance and allotment of equity shares under a Qualified Institutions Placement (QIP), completing a capital raise that opened on September 17, 2026 and closed on September 22, 2026. The shares carry a face value of ₹2 each and were placed with eligible qualified institutional buyers under Chapter VI of the SEBI ICDR Regulations. The issue price was set at a disclosed discount to the floor price.
Who bought in
Per the annexure listing allottees who received more than 5% of the issue, the Government of Singapore was the largest single buyer. Several domestic mutual fund houses — including ICICI Prudential, Invesco, Axis, Mirae Asset and DSP — along with ICICI Prudential Life Insurance and a foreign portfolio investor, Societe Generale – ODI, also feature on the list, spreading the placement across foreign and domestic institutions.
Effect on the capital base
The allotment expands Bharat Forge's paid-up equity, with the subscribed and fully paid-up equity share capital rising to reflect the additional shares issued. The full before-and-after shareholding pattern will be submitted with the listing application, the company said.
