BSE raises IIBH stake to 5.54% via rights issue, on path to 20% direct holding

BSE subscribed to India International Bullion Holding IFSC's rights issue for ₹9.28 crore, lifting its direct stake from 3.33% to 5.54%, with a pending secondary purchase set to take it to 20%.

What was filed

BSE Limited told the exchange it has acquired further equity shares in India International Bullion Holding IFSC Limited (IIBH) by subscribing to the entity's rights issue. The company said the investment was made after receiving the requisite approvals, including from the Securities and Exchange Board of India. The disclosure continues a sequence of intimations dated July 31 and August 4, 2026.

The step towards associate status

The rights subscription increases BSE's direct holding in IIBH. Separately, BSE noted that a secondary purchase of IIBH shares from its subsidiaries — India International Exchange (IFSC) Limited (India INX) and India International Clearing Corporation (IFSC) Limited (India ICC) — is still under process. Once that transaction completes, BSE's direct shareholding in IIBH is set to reach 20%, at which point IIBH will become a direct associate company of BSE Limited.

‡ Computed by us from the filing’s own figures — not a company-stated number.

The filing points to BSE consolidating a direct position in its bullion-holding entity, with a pending secondary purchase set to make IIBH a direct associate company — a change in how BSE's bullion-market interest is structured. The 20% figure is contingent on completion of the secondary transaction, which the company describes as still under process.
