What the board approved
At its meeting on 5 September 2026, the board of Goodluck India took two decisions disclosed under Regulation 30 of the SEBI Listing Regulations. It appointed Mr. Ashok Kumar Vashisht as Group Chief Financial Officer with effect from the same day, and — subject to member and other regulatory approval — recommended an alteration to the Main Objects Clause of the company's Memorandum of Association.
The proposed alteration inserts a new clause enabling the company to carry on the business of providing, rendering and managing consultancy, advisory, operational and technical services across various sectors. The filing is explicit that this remains contingent on member approval and has not yet taken effect.
The new CFO's background
According to the filing, Mr. Vashisht is a Chartered Management Accountant and Fellow Member of CIMA UK, CGMA, an Associate Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India, and a Fellow Member of CPA Australia. The company says he brings corporate experience across listed multinationals, having served at organisations including GlaxoSmithKline, EPL Ltd., Reliance Industries Ltd., SMA Solar and the Tubacex Group. He joins as a Key Managerial Personnel under Section 2(51) of the Companies Act, 2013.
Why it matters to a holder
The appointment fills the senior finance role at group level, with the CFO designated as Key Managerial Personnel. Separately, the recommended object-clause amendment would formally enable a consultancy and advisory services activity — but, per the filing, that step still requires shareholder and regulatory approval before it becomes operative.
