Infosys Names Insider Ashiss Kumar Dash CEO Designate, to Succeed Salil Parekh in April 2027

The board appointed three-decade Infosys veteran Ashiss Kumar Dash as CEO Designate, with the intention to elevate him to CEO and Managing Director from April 1, 2027, when Salil Parekh's second term ends.

What the board decided

At its meeting on July 22–23, 2026, the Infosys board approved and appointed **Ashiss Kumar Dash as Chief Executive Officer Designate**, effective July 23, 2026 and running until March 31, 2027. Per the filing, the board also recorded its intention to appoint Dash as **Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director with effect from April 1, 2027**, subject to fulfilment of all statutory requirements and shareholder approval, for a proposed five-year term.

The move sets up a planned succession. Dash is slated to succeed Salil Parekh, who the filing says will continue to lead the company until March 31, 2027 and work with Dash on the transition. Parekh has led Infosys for over nine years across two terms.

Who Dash is

According to the enclosed profile, Dash has spent over three decades at Infosys in senior roles spanning customer-facing businesses, delivery and global operations. He currently serves as EVP and Global Head for a business portfolio comprising over twelve industry verticals, and also leads the company's enterprise sustainability business. He is based in Los Angeles and is a director on the boards of Infosys Public Services and MRE Consulting LLC, both Infosys subsidiaries.

The filing notes Dash is not debarred from holding office of a director by any order of SEBI or other authority, and that the appointment followed the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee.

Alongside the leadership news

The same board meeting produced Infosys's audited Q1 FY2027 results (quarter ended June 30, 2026), an allotment of equity shares against exercised stock units, a fresh RSU grant to new hires, approval to incorporate a step-down wholly owned subsidiary in Singapore, and amendments to the Enterprise Risk Management policy. Per the accompanying press release, the company retained its FY27 operating-margin guidance range and revised its FY27 constant-currency revenue growth guidance.
