What was filed
IRCTC has notified the exchanges of the record date and tax-deduction process for its final dividend for the financial year ended 31 March 2026. The Board recommended the dividend at its meeting on 26 May 2026, subject to approval at the coming Annual General Meeting. The company has fixed Tuesday, 22 September 2026 as the record date for determining which members are entitled to receive it. If declared at the AGM, the dividend is to be paid within 30 days of the meeting's conclusion.
Electronic-only payment and the TDS process
The filing flags a procedural change for holders. Following SEBI's Fifth Amendment to the LODR Regulations dated 18 November 2025, IRCTC states it will pay the dividend only through RBI-approved electronic modes — no physical warrants, cheques or demand drafts will be dispatched. Shareholders are asked to ensure the bank account details in their demat accounts or physical folios are current before the record date. Much of the communication sets out the tax-deducted-at-source rates and the documents that resident and non-resident shareholders must submit to claim exemptions or treaty benefits under the Income-tax Act, 2025. The company notes that no communication on tax determination will be entertained after 22 September 2026.
