What was filed
MMP Industries Limited released an investor press release for its consolidated results for Q1FY27, the quarter ended 30 June 2026. The company describes itself as a manufacturer of aluminium powders, aluminium foils, aluminium conductors and composite insulators. The two headline points from the filing: a return to reported profit after a loss in Q1FY26, and double-digit revenue growth led by two of its four core segments.
Where the growth came from — and where it didn't
Per the filing, the Aluminium Powders and Aluminium Foils segments carried the quarter, with revenue rising 45% and 29% year-on-year respectively. Management attributed this to better sales realisation, improved export performance and higher capacity utilisation in the value-added printed-foil section.
The picture was mixed elsewhere. The Aluminium Conductors segment fell 42% YoY, which the company links to elevated aluminium prices, subdued demand for Aerial Bunched Cables amid slower government infrastructure execution, and delayed payments by State Utilities constraining EPC contractors' cash flows.
The swing in reported PAT was driven substantially by base effects: the company notes Q1FY26 carried an exceptional loss, and that on an adjusted basis — excluding that item — underlying PAT growth was 82% YoY. It also flagged an EBITDA loss of ₹13.7 Mn from newly incorporated subsidiaries in their ramp-up phase.
Pipeline and capacity plans
The release details several forward initiatives, all still in development. Trial production of Lidding Foil is expected by end-Q2/early-Q3FY27, with a commercial launch targeted in Q3FY27; LT Power Cable trials are underway at Bhandara with BIS certification pending; vendor approvals for polymer insulators are progressing via subsidiary MMP Electricals; an 18,000 MTPA aluminium wire rod facility has commercial production targeted in Q4FY27; and a ~7 MW group captive solar park, with a planned ₹30 Cr investment, is targeted for commissioning in Q3FY27.
The company also stated it is hopeful of 15–18% revenue growth for FY27, while noting Q2 is seasonally softer due to the monsoon. These are stated expectations, not results.
