What was filed
RailTel Corporation of India informed the exchanges that its Board, at a meeting held on 30 July 2026, approved the un-audited financial results for the quarter ended 30 June 2026, together with a Limited Review Report from the statutory auditors, Lunawat & Co. The reviewers stated that nothing had come to their attention causing them to believe the statement was not prepared in accordance with applicable standards. The results were reviewed, not audited.
How the quarter shaped up
Total income and revenue from operations rose year-on-year. The gains came largely from the Project Work Services segment, whose revenue grew faster than Telecom Services over the same period a year earlier. Despite the higher topline, profit for the period stayed close to the prior-year June quarter, as a larger exceptional item and higher project and depreciation costs offset the revenue growth. The company reports two operating segments — Telecom Services and Project Work Services — both within a single Pan-India geography.
Segment picture
The two segments contribute differently to the bottom line. Telecom Services carried the larger share of segment profit despite lower revenue than Project Work Services, the comparatively higher-volume, lower-margin line. Segment assets and capital employed are disclosed for both as at the quarter-end.
