Shakti Pumps Q1 FY27: revenue rises, but profit falls year on year

Consolidated revenue for the quarter ended June 30, 2026 rose while profit after tax fell against the same quarter last year, per the company's unaudited results.

What was filed

Shakti Pumps (India) Limited's board met on July 24, 2026 and approved the unaudited consolidated and standalone financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, together with the auditors' Limited Review Report. Price Waterhouse Chartered Accountants LLP issued an unmodified conclusion on both the consolidated and standalone statements. The consolidated results cover the holding company and its five subsidiaries, spanning energy solutions, EV mobility and overseas entities in the USA, Bangladesh, Uganda and an FZE.

Revenue up, profit down year on year

The quarter runs two ways. Revenue climbed against the June 2025 quarter and was broadly flat against the immediately preceding March 2026 quarter. Profit moved the other way: consolidated profit after tax came in below the same quarter a year earlier, though it improved sequentially from the March 2026 quarter. The figures are set out in the key-numbers panel.

The filing shows why margins narrowed: cost of materials consumed and other expenses rose year on year, and finance costs also increased, together outpacing the revenue gain. The standalone entity shows the same pattern — higher revenue, lower year-on-year profit.

Segment and balance-sheet context

Per the segment disclosure, the India business supplied the overwhelming share of revenue, with overseas subsidiaries a small contributor. Total segment assets and net capital employed both expanded against a year earlier, pointing to a larger operating base carried into the quarter. The auditors noted one non-material subsidiary whose accounts were not reviewed by its auditors, and said its results are not material to the Group; the overall review conclusion was unmodified.

‡ Computed by us from the filing’s own figures — not a company-stated number.

For a holder, this is the first quarterly scorecard of FY27: revenue growth continued year on year, but the year-on-year fall in profit points to margin pressure against the earlier quarter's higher base. The auditors' review conclusion was unmodified.
