SJS Enterprises Completes Wind-Power Share Subscription in DB Renews

The auto-decorative maker has taken a 2.08% stake in DB Renews Private Limited, tied to an annual wind-power supply.

What was filed

S.J.S. Enterprises told the exchanges on 5 August 2026 that it has completed a share subscription first announced in its letter of 27 February 2026. The subscription forms part of a package of agreements — a Share Purchase, Shareholders' Agreement and an Energy Purchase Agreement with Doddanavar Global Energy Private Limited and DB Renews Private Limited — under which the company committed to subscribe to equity shares of DB Renews in exchange for a supply of wind power. This update confirms the subscription has now gone through.

The structure of the deal

The arrangement links an equity stake to an energy supply commitment: by subscribing to the shares, the company secures an annual supply of wind power from DB Renews. The subscription leaves SJS with a small minority position, described in the filing as 2.08% of the equity share capital of DB Renews. The company noted that the full details required under SEBI disclosure rules were already set out in its February letter.

Shares subscribed
28,800 equity shares

Subscription price per share
INR 250 per equity share
Resulting stake in DB Renews
2.08%

The transaction is small in monetary terms and completes a step disclosed earlier in the year; for a holder it primarily confirms the company's move to secure captive renewable power through a minority equity stake rather than signalling a material change in operations.
