What was filed
Shakti Pumps (India) Limited's board, at its meeting on October 23, 2026, approved the unaudited consolidated and standalone results for the quarter and half year ended September 30, 2026. Price Waterhouse Chartered Accountants LLP conducted a limited review and issued an unmodified conclusion on both statements. The consolidated results cover the holding company and five subsidiaries, including overseas units in the UAE, USA and Bangladesh, plus a Uganda branch.
Revenue up, profit down
The story of the quarter is the gap between the two lines: revenue rose year on year, but profit before tax and profit for the period both fell well short of the year-earlier figures. Per the filing, cost of materials consumed and other expenses absorbed a larger share of income than a year ago, compressing margins. Sequentially, both revenue and profit were lower than the June 2026 quarter. The figures are set out in the key-numbers panel.
Working capital strain
The cash-flow statement is where the operating picture tightens. The filing shows consolidated trade receivables rising sharply from the March 2026 year-end, and net cash used in operating activities running to an outflow for the half year. The company funded this through higher borrowings — current borrowings rose over the period — while cash and cash equivalents fell steeply. For a holder, the question these numbers raise is whether top-line growth is being converted into cash.
