South Indian Bank reshuffles senior management, names new Chief Business Officer

The board reassigned four senior executives, moving COO Anto George T to Executive Vice President & Chief Business Officer from 1 November 2026.

What was filed

South Indian Bank reported the outcome of a board meeting that approved changes to its Senior Management Personnel. The bank said the moves followed a recommendation of its Nomination and Remuneration Committee and were prompted by "operating and reporting structural changes of the Bank." These are reassignments of existing executives rather than outside hires; the bank described the reason simply as a change in designation.

Who moves where

Four internal executives are being reassigned. Anto George T, currently Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer, becomes Executive Vice President & Chief Business Officer and is identified as a Material Risk Taker under RBI guidelines, effective 1 November 2026. Nandakumar G moves from Head of Internal Audit and Chief of Internal Vigilance to Head of the Banking Operations Group. Vijith S, currently heading Strategic Alliances and Digital Business, takes over as Head of Internal Audit. Rekha V R moves from Head of the Vigilance Division to Chief of Internal Vigilance. The last three changes take effect from 16 October 2026. The bank noted that none of these personnel are related to any of its directors.

Why it matters to a holder

The filing points to a re-organisation of the bank's operating and control functions — separating business and operations leadership and rotating the internal-audit and vigilance roles among long-serving insiders. For a holder, it is a governance and structure disclosure rather than a financial event: no figures on business performance, capital or guidance accompany it. The practical change is who sits at the top of key functions as the bank adjusts its reporting structure.

The changes affect the bank's business, operations, internal-audit and vigilance leadership and realign its reporting structure; the disclosure is qualitative and carries no financial figures, so its significance to a holder lies in who leads these functions rather than any immediate impact on results.
